The Directors of Atlanta Festival Ballet School, Gregory Aaron, Jocelyn Buchanan, and Nicolas Pacaña, would like to invite you to join us as we celebrate our 22nd season. Our ballet program was established to provide the highest level of training to all students who strive for both physical development and personal growth through the discipline and joy of dance.
Our goal is to educate our students through knowledge and experience so that they may realize their potential not only as dancers but also as human beings. The faculty and staff at Atlanta Festival Ballet are dedicated to helping our students develop technical skills, respect for themselves and others along with fundamental appreciation for their art form.
We are pleased that students from our school have been accepted to ballet programs with American Ballet Theatre, Hartford Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, Sacramento Ballet, and the Joffrey Ballet. Our students have been the recipients of scholarships to Boston Ballet, The school of American Ballet, The Rock School, Southern Methodist University and many other prestigious classical ballet training schools and companies.
Philosophy
We believe the study of dance provides students with
- A greater sense of the body and hot to utilize it moving through space.
- The discipline required to diligently attend classes of intense work and concentrated practice.
- Self-confidence needed in all walks of life.
- Grace, elegance and poise to those who commit to the study of this art form.
- Exposure to various musical forms - classical, contemporary, and jazz.
- The joy of participating in a very special art form.
The spirit of the dancer dwells within each of us. Through proper training, each student has the opportunity to develop this spirit, regardless of its magnitude.
